Every Workout Counts

beachbody fitness Jul 04, 2017

Every workout counts, even the ones you don't love, the ones where you weren't totally sure what you were doing, the ones you had to cut short, ones done in the winter, summer, in a She-Hulk shirt and the ones you made sure NOT to miss. They all count!

I've been lifting a lot more lately as I constantly change up my fitness routine. PiYo is a huge way I keep my strength but let's be honest, if there is a fountain of youth, I pretty sure its lifting ---- GRAVITY DEFYING results that actually increase our bone density, makes us look better in and out of clothes...and, I'm one of those weird people that loves being sore. (Not because I like the feeling, but because it's proof to me that I'm changing). Now, if it were up to my husband Lee, he would have me lifting everyday... notice him lurking in the background, wondering when I'm going to give him his weights back. 😉

Lifting doesn't just happen in the gym, and surprisingly, you don't have to start with weights. You can lift your own body weight and still get amazing results. Some programs that I would suggest to anyone interested in starting a lifting routine are:

21 Day Fix (great for the beginner and the more experienced)

Body Beast (this workout does require weights and I would suggest this to someone wanting to step up their lifting game)

Hammer & Chisel (same as Body Beast, but with some easier lifting variations)
